Once you decide on your business you need to decide how you are going to market the biz. Here are some various ideas on marketing.

  • Direct Sales - Any kind of direct marketing such as selling at a store front, flea market, craft show, trade show, home party, open house. Also going to stores and selling wholesale to the storekeepers.
  • Website Sales- Having a website and marketing the website to prospective customers.
  • On line Auctions - sell your products or service on Ebay, yahoo auction, mompack auction or other online auctions. Ebay is probably the most established market.
  • On line Parties- Vendor spots are available at on line parties. You choose a time where you can come and show your wares and discuss your business in an interactive chat room. A very inexpensive way to advertise if you have time to go to parties. You meet others that work at home in the same environment all online chat.
  • Fundraisers- you can find a product or products that sell good and offer them to a school or church or other organizations. Prizes should be available for children who do a lot of selling.
  • Catalog Sales- if you have a catalog for your business you can give out catalogs to businesses or people who are interested in your product or service. A great marketing tool on spreading the word.
  • Mail Order Marketing- You can rent list from list renters or you can develop your own list from previous customers or people who are interested in your biz. You can send them catalogs or flyers of your specials. You can have catalog request on your website.     
  • Network Marketing Sell to friends and family and spread the word.
